Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 7, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ParentMail (dev.daybuddi.com) — the website at dev.daybuddi.com, the ParentMail application, the early-access waitlist, and our text messaging (SMS) program (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, texting our number, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to use ParentMail.

2. The Service

ParentMail reads email you connect from approved school senders, files messages to the child they concern, summarizes them, extracts deadlines onto a calendar view, and sends you a short daily digest. The Service is currently in early access (“beta”): features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued as we iterate.

3. Your account and Google connection

  • You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Connecting a Google account authorizes ParentMail to access Gmail and Calendar data as described in the Privacy Policy. You may revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions page; revoking stops new email processing.
  • You confirm you have the right to connect any mailbox you connect (it is yours, not someone else's).

4. Text messaging (SMS) terms

By providing your mobile number during onboarding, you consent to receive text messages from ParentMail: your morning digest (if enabled), replies to messages you send us, and occasional urgent school alerts. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using the Service or of any purchase — you can use ParentMail without providing a number.

SMS program terms

Message frequency varies. Up to one digest message per day if you enable the morning digest, plus replies to messages you initiate and rare urgent alerts.

Message and data rates may applyfor any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, according to your carrier’s plan.

Opting out: reply STOP (or OPTOUT) to any message to cancel. You will receive one final confirmation message and nothing further. Reply START to re-subscribe.

Help: reply HELP (or INFO) to any message, or contact us at hello@dev.daybuddi.com.

Carriers (for example, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is outside our control.

You represent that the mobile number you provide is yours, and you agree to notify us promptly (or update it in settings) if you change or deactivate that number. Your number and SMS consent are handled as described in the Privacy Policy — never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law or to send unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content.
  • Attempt to access another user's data, probe or breach our security measures, or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Reverse engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product.
  • Resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent.

6. AI-generated content

Summaries, action items, extracted deadlines, and assistant replies are generated by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Every AI-generated item links back to the original email — always verify dates, amounts, and requirements against the source before acting. ParentMail is an organizational aid, not a replacement for reading communications that matter.

7. Fees and payment

ParentMail is currently free during early access. If we introduce paid plans, pricing will be shown before you are charged, payments will be processed by Stripe, and paid features will be governed by the plan terms presented at purchase. We will never silently convert a free account into a paid one.

8. Intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You own your content — your emails, labels, and messages remain yours, and you grant us only the limited license needed to process them to provide the Service.

9. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party providers (Google, Twilio, Resend, Stripe, Supabase, Vercel). Their availability is outside our control, and your use of Google services through ParentMail is also subject to Google’s terms.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EVERY IMPORTANT EMAIL OR DEADLINE WILL BE SURFACED.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARENTMAIL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING MISSED DEADLINES, FEES, OR OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM SUMMARIZED OR UNDELIVERED CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If changes are material we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
